Modern Slavery Policy

At Organic Recruitment, we are steadfast in our commitment to ethical practices and the eradication of modern slavery and human trafficking within our sphere of influence. This policy outlines our approach to preventing modern slavery in all its forms within our operations and supply chain.

It reflects our dedication to acting with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our business or in any of our supply chains.

Vetting of Overseas Employers and Partners:

We will conduct rigorous pre-placement checks on all overseas employers and partners. This includes assessing potential red flags for modern slavery practices, such as the lack of transparency in operations, poor worker conditions, and any history of unethical practices. Our vetting process will be thorough and documented, ensuring we only engage with entities that share our commitment to ethical practices.

Candidate Information and Support:

We are committed to providing candidates with clear, comprehensive information and support throughout the recruitment process. This includes educating them about their rights, local employment laws, working conditions, and the grievance procedures available to them. Our aim is to empower candidates with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their employment opportunities.

Monitoring and Reporting

Organic Recruitment will establish effective mechanisms for monitoring placements and conditions of work for our candidates, especially in overseas locations. We will address any concerns or reports of unethical practices promptly and take appropriate action, including reporting suspected cases of modern slavery to the relevant authorities. Our reporting processes will be transparent and accessible to all stakeholders.

Training and Awareness

Recognising the importance of awareness and education, we will provide regular training for our staff on the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in international recruitment. This training will cover how to identify and respond to signs of modern slavery and the role of our staff in preventing and detecting such practices.

Commitment to Ethical Practices

Organic Recruitment is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We will implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or any part of our business. This includes

maintaining high standards of conduct and probity in our service delivery and requiring all personnel to act with integrity and honesty.

Stakeholder Engagement:

We will ensure that all our stakeholders, including funders, employees, subcontractors, delivery partners, service users, and others, have a clear and effective platform for raising concerns, asking questions, and whistleblowing. Our processes for reporting concerns will be clear, accessible, and will guarantee confidentiality and protection for whistleblowers.

This policy is made in accordance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reflects our commitment to ensuring that our business and supply chains are free from modern slavery and human trafficking. It is approved by our Directors and will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure its continued relevance and effectiveness in combating modern slavery.
